The Baltimore Oriole (Icterus galbula) is a small blackbird at only 7 inches long.

The adult Baltimore Orioles have a pointed bill and white bars on the wings. The male of the species has orange underparts, shoulder patch and rump with black everywhere else. The female of the species is yellow-brown on the upperparts with darker wings and dull orange on the breast and belly.
